Khandaker Akhter Hamid Paban, son of Khondaker Delwar Hossain, Chief Whip of Jatiya Sangsad was granted ad-interim bail by the Metropolitan Sessions Judge court on Monday in an internal of eight days of his arrest.

Earlier the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court sent him on a one-day police custody for interrogation. A team of Detective Branch (DB) police arrested Chief Whip's son on February 28, for his alleged terrorist activities in a phone-fax shop.

On Monday, Alhaj Motiur Rahman the judge of the Metropolitan Sessions Court granted his bail upon a bond of Taka 30 thousand and under custody of two guarantors.

Newly elected Bar Secretary Khorshed Alam, Advocate Sanaullah Miah and Advocate Borhanuddin moved his bail petition before the court and on the otherhand Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Abdullah Mahmud Hasan appeared for the state.
