Tuesday January 18 2005 10:42:51 AM BDT

Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) in a meeting on Monday alleged that the BNP-Jamaat Coalition Government has created artificial price hike in the country.

Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal held a meeting at Muktangon on Monday in protest against the increase in the prices of gas and fuel, increase of bus truck fare and hatching conspiracy to sell out gas in the name of investment by TATA Company in the country.

Central Leader Mubinul Haque Chowdhury, Coordinator of Dhaka City unit of BSD Bazlur Rashid and other leaders addressed the meeting.

BSD leaders alleged that the prices of essentials including rice and pulse increased frequently after assuming power by the coalition government.

BSD leaders called upon the people to resist the conspiracy of investment by TATA to sell out the gas of the country and to destroy country’s industrial base. They also called upon the people to launch a movement to compel the Government to reduce the price of essentials and to snap the agreement with TATA.
