* On Monday 13th November, Maryam Namazie spoke at a talk in Goodenough College, London entitled ‘Beyond the Veil: Perspectives on Muslim Women in a Western Secular Context’ as a part of a run up to the Goodenough Conference, The Mosaic of Multiculturalism: Pieces Falling? Changing Perceptions and Reality in Britain. She debated with Humera Khan, consultant on Muslim affairs, and Maleiha Malik, Lecturer in Anti-Discrimination Law at King's College.
