REF : The Plight of the Rohingya People of Arakan state of Myanmar
Native Arakans have said again and again that Rohingya are not just not the native but just migrants from Bangladesh and their ancesters are Bangladeshi in Bangladesh. Rohingya are just like current Bangladeshi, who have visited Arakan crossing border, but they did not return to Bangladesh. Many generations later, they lost contact with their ancestors and making it home to some places in Arakan. Buddhist Arakan had tolerated for decades. However, the population of Rohingya grows overtime and they started to push native Arakans downwards to the south by mean of intimidatation and violence.
The problem between native Arakan and Rohingya stated and Myanmar Army stepped in to protect native Arakan who were fleeing from the north. Crack down by military provoke international critism and many of them are accepted back to stay in Arakan. However, Bangladeshi government should take them back as their country men, instead of treating as foreigner. They are economic refugees and Bangladesh government is ultimately responsible for their welfare.
