Khulna BNP leader, two others hurt in bomb attack

Chairman of Jibannagar Pourasava Noab Ali and two others were seriously injured in a bomb attack allegedly by outlaws yesterday evening.
The attack was made when Noab Ali, also president of Jibannagar upazila unit of the BNP, was discussing organisational matters with party activists at the local Jubo Dal office.

Local BNP leader Abul Alam and party activist Shafiqul are the others injured.
Witnesses said three unidentified people threw three bombs at the victims from a motorbike.

Noab Ali was admitted to Jessore General Hospital and his condition was stated to be critical. The other two were admitted to Jibannagar Upazila Health Complex.

Two young men -- Abdur Rahim Sumon and Mamun -- were arrested as suspects. They are activists of Purbo Banglar Communist Party (Janajuddha ) police said.
