Kuwait to provide 50pc of Karnaphuli bridge cost

Saturday September 04 2004 02:20:36 AM BDT

The authorities of the Kuwait Development Fund (KDF) have agreed to provide 50 per cent of the total cost of the proposed third Karnaphuli Bridge in Chittagong, official sources said. The estimated cost of the proposed bridge is about US$56 million, but it may vary, sources added. A three-member mission from the KDF would visit the country from October 2 next. The members of the mission would visit the site of the proposed bridge and finalise the nitty gritty of the loan document during their visit to the country. — FE Report
