Water specialist of the United Nations and adviser of International Farakka Committee Dr SI Khan will give a keynote speech on “Floods and Preventive Measures” at a seminar of the New York based organisation at 4 pm on August 21 in the VIP Lounge of the Jatiya Press Club, reports BSS.

LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan will attend the seminar as the chief guest while State Minister for Water Resources Major (Retd) Hafizuddin Ahmad, BB will be the special guest.

Leading hydrologists and experts will address the seminar suggesting strategies to face the deluge, a Press release of the committee said in Dhaka on Wednesday.
