Brahmanbaria :About four lakhs people of the district have been affected badly by the unprece­dented and devastating flood

Our Brahmanbaria Correspon-dent reports: About four lakhs people of Brahmanbaria district have been affected badly by the unprece­dented and devastating flood. Though the River Titas is now flowing 174 cm above danger mark the affected people are struggling to survival the disaster which left a trial of devastations.

Most parts of the town areas are under waist or chest deep wa­ter and a larger number of families find it different to take shelter. A large number of the people were marooned. Boats and rafts are means of communication. According to the district flood information centre, 102 unions of the district went under water ren­dering about four lakhs people homeless.
